A Death Doula serves as a spiritual and emotional guide for others at the end of life. There is an innate ability to hold a space of understanding, presence, preparation, and care. To guide others through the stages of death, the emotional experiences, and to reach a level of perspective aimed towards acceptance and love.
Lakshmi has had extensive experience as a personal caregiver for children, adults, and the elderly, as well as care situations involving Alzheimers, Parkinson’s, quadriplegia, and cancer. Her INELDA training has taught how to practice deep active listening, prepare a vigil space, and practical methods to support the family before and after death.
No matter the situation, it takes attunement and alignment to create the environment that best supports each in the present moment. This is a sensitive time to release emotion and attachments, experience an array of feelings both of grief and relief, and manage uncertainty and fear during the transition. Lakshmi will incorporate:
~ Emotional support and guidance
~ Meditation practices
~ Yogic breathing
~ Deep relaxation
~ Energy & Soul healing work
~ A soothing environment
Lakshmi offers her presence and services by the hour, and can be available whenever needed for support–including after one has passed. Please send an email to schedule a phone or in person meeting to connect further.
